Bipolar disorder is the manic phase of psychosis that can strike everyone at some point in his or her lives for various reasons. Many medical physicians not fully educated will diagnose bipolar disorder just as depression and therefore the treatment and medication will have less of an effect on the individual. An individual receiving a medical diagnosis and being prescribed antidepressant medication is not the only to live happily.
